Bolt gets to keep baton after relay record

Usain Bolt gained an extra souvenir to go with his three gold medals after Olympic officials handed over the baton used by the Jamaicans sprint relay team in their world record run.

After crossing the line, Bolt pleaded with an official to let him keep the baton he was clutching. She told him no and Bolt handed the baton over while some nearby spectators booed. Approximately 40 minutes later, the same official approached Bolt and returned the baton. Bolt responded with a bow of thanks, he chuckled, kissed the baton and asked his team mates to autograph it.
