Pda-Net: Using your phone as a Wireless Router for PC/Mac

PdaNet has been a tethering software for Windows Mobile phones, Palm OS and it now supports iPhone and Androids. This turns your phone into a wifi hotspot allowing you to connect from your computer or iPad. It allows your PC or MAC to go online wirelessly through the internet modem or your 2G/3G/4G network on your phone. This also works on any version iPhone, it also supports USB tethering. PdaNet offers the fastest connection speed from your data service and data signal.

How to install PdaNet version 5.30 on iPhone's:
Apple does not allow to download PdaNet from the App Store since it avoids carriers tether plan.
❅ you will need to jailbreak your iPhone and install PdaNet through Cydia, if you have any other tethering apps it is recommended that you uninstall them before installing PdaNet.
❅ for USB mode, download the desktop client WinSCP on Mac or Windows. Start WinSCP and enter:

  • Host name: IP address of your phone
  • Port number: 21/22
  • Username: root
  • Password: alpine

You will now be able to use your standard data plan without any additional cost which now includes tethering.
