How to fix "Hash Sum Mismatch" Cydia Error

iPhone, iPad and iTouch users that face this Cydia error message "Hash Sum Mismatch" many times while trying to download Cydia tweaks to their iDevices. If your device is jailbroken on iOS 5.1.1 with Absinthe or running any older jailbroken iOS version, here are some simple tips that will help you to fix this "Hash Sum Mismatch" error.


Fix "Hash Sum Mismatch" Cydia Error - iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch:

Method 1: Turn off you jailbroken iDevice then turn it on again, then restart Cydia. Now try to download any tweak from Cydia, if the "Hash Sum Mismatch" error has not been solved, jump to method 2.
Method 2: Ensure you have a better internet connection, in order to do this, reset you jailbroken iDevice network settings, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Also don’t forget to reboot your network hardware (modem, router and your iOS device)
Method 3: Make sure that your Cydia is up to date, open Cydia > Changes > Refresh then update all available updates.
Method 4: If the "Hash Sum Mismatch" error still exist, try to delete the repo that containing the Cydia tweak, open Cydia > Manage > Sources, then delete the repo that caused the error.
Method 5: If the "Hash Sum Mismatch" error still exist , you have to restore and re-jailbreak your iDevice in order to install a fresh Cydia.
